The Heroes Den Bosch basketball players seized the TOTO Basketball Cup for the eighth time in their existence on Sunday afternoon, 24 March. In a thrilling final, Landstede Hammers from Zwolle were defeated. The men from Bosschenaren were still trailing by 13 points in the fourth quarter (56-69), but managed to turn this into an 89-82 victory in a sensational final, supported by over 800 fans who travelled along. Of course, Capital Sports was present as a partner of the club to support head coach Erik Braal's team in this final.
The final in Topsportcentrum Almere was in all respects an advertisement for basketball, which is already growing strongly in the Netherlands. Besides top basketball, the audience could also enjoy entertainment of an almost American level. With a light and sound show, dancers, kiss and dance cam and a halftime show by the hip-hop group Broederliefde, it was an unforgettable afternoon for the Bossche basketball fan.
