At age 17 and with a top-25 ranking, Tygho Schoonus is one of the Netherlands' biggest padel talents. Perhaps even the biggest, as he is number 1 in the under-18 category. Reason enough for Capital Sports to support and facilitate this talent on his way to a professional life in the popular sport. We do this not only with a sponsorship; Tygho is also doing an internship at our agency for his Marketing & Communication studies at the Rooi Pannen in Tilburg.
Tygho says: "I really appreciate Capital Sports giving me the opportunity to gain my first experience within the (sports) marketing profession and at the same time helping me take the next step in my development as a professional padel player. Not only sports-wise, but especially in commercial terms. I am learning a lot about how partnerships work in sport and what value an athlete adds as a brand ambassador. Knowledge from which I will benefit a lot during my career."
But apart from Tygho himself, his colleagues at Capital Advertising and Capital Sports also benefit from the sponsorship. They enjoyed a fun and sporting evening last week at the Hiltenhal in Hilvarenbeek, where Tygho enthusiastically conducted a padel clinic. Of course, when the tips and practice gave way to mutual battle, Tygho was also fully challenged to demonstrate his class and he did not disappoint. Very nice to see!
Capital Sports looks forward to a pleasant cooperation and wishes Tygho the best of luck, on the padel court and at his desk with us in Den Bosch.
