Taylor Made

Inducted into the Hall of Fame

If you're a fan of American football, it's almost impossible to not know about this man: Jason Taylor. He began his career in high school in his native Pittsburgh, where he excelled on the football field. After high school, Jason attended the University of Akron, where he took the first real steps toward a professional football career.

That career took off when he signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins in 1997. At this club from The Magic City, he played as a defensive end. In his first season, he immediately showed that he was not just another strong player. With 5 sacks and 47 tackles, he managed to make his name known right away. A feat that was immediately rewarded with the Newcomer of the Year award.

During his career with the Dolphins, Taylor won numerous other honors and awards. For instance, he was named MVP - Most Valuable Player - of his team four times as well as winning four Team Leadership Awards. In both categories, he set a record for his team. In addition, Jason was voted the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the NFL 2000's All-Decade Team.

On 28 December 2011, Jason announced his retirement. He played a total of 13 seasons with the Dolphins and grew into one of the most dominant defensive ends in the NFL. In his 233 games, he made 139.5 sacks, 9 interceptions, and 789 tackles. This makes him to be considered one of the best defensive ends in NFL history. Not surprisingly, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

First partnership
With this track record, Invicta saw the perfect man in Jason Taylor to form their first partnership. Together, they released the 'Jason Taylor for Invicta: Hall of Fame' collection. This limited edition collection features new designs as well as existing designs adapted to Jason's unique style and aesthetic.

Capital Sports was involved in the creative process of the campaign associated with this collection. From the photo shoot to the layout of advertisements, the joint signature of Jason Taylor and Invicta emerges in all expressions. It stands for focus, dedication, and exceptional performance. Attributes that perfectly suit the watch brand, the athlete, and the collection.

In honor of his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Invicta and Jason have released another new timepiece: the 99. Inspiration for the design of this watch came from Jason's back number in the NFL. You guessed it: number 99. Of course, the aqua-blue color of the Miami Dolphins was not to be missed. Distinctive details can be found throughout the entire design.

About Invicta Watch

Invincible. That's what the Latin Invicta means. When we talk about Invicta, we are talking about the originally Swiss watch brand. Invicta originated almost two centuries ago, in 1837, in the small town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since then, the watchmaker may call Miami its home. In the state of Florida, Invicta Watch Group houses the Invicta, TechnoMarine, S. Coifman and Glycine Switzerland brands.

Invicta is known for the vast amount of designs and product innovations the brand releases. In almost two centuries, more than 4,000 unique models were introduced by Invicta. More than 55 patents have also been granted in the field of design and mechanics. Not surprising that the watchmaker was able to amass a strong following of collectors around the world. Although those fans also often come to appreciate something else Invicta excels at.

Indeed, these are the partnerships with big names that Invicta enters into. Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, Warner Brothers, US Army and US Navy: these are just a few of the brand's many successful partnerships. In sports, too, Invicta is a well-known and much-loved name. Thanks to partnerships with athletes such as Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Taylor and Juan Manuel Correa, Invicta shines on the wrists of the world's best athletes.

It's not only athletes who appreciate Invicta, but also entire teams and even leagues that enjoy working with the watch brand. Invicta sponsors the US NFL, MLB and NHL and is Official Timekeeper of the American football team Las Vegas Raiders. Since 2023, they have also been title sponsor of Formula 2 team Invicta Racing. These are all partnerships that underline Invicta's motto: invincible.
