Breaking the ice in sports marketing

When the days are short and the temperatures are low, there is only one sport on television that can defrost our hearts: ice skating. Who are we cheering for? Team Jumbo-Visma, home of the best Dutch athletes on ice.

Who is cheering at least as hard is Capital Sports. In fact, since 2017, we have been closely involved in the success of the Netherlands' biggest skating team. As the team's regular marketing partner, we help with sponsorship recruitment, fan activations and (social) advertising. After starting the collaboration, we managed to double the fan base and increase engagement within a few months.

Going for gold
Of course, the success of the partnership starts with the success of the team. Gold medals, world records, clean sweeps at the Olympics: the athletes of Team Jumbo-Visma invariably lead the rankings. It's not for no good reason that the team is regarded nationally and internationally as one of the best ice skating teams around. And how could it be otherwise, with names like Jutta Leerdam, Thomas Krol, Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong and Jorrit Bergsma.

With marketing, we do our absolute best to reinforce these successes. Thanks to our efforts, an ever larger group of fans can follow the skaters' achievements closely. This is not only good for them, but also for the team and its sponsors. After all, they get even more exposure, and thus fans for their brand. 

Encouragement 
Those who also benefit from our close cooperation with the kings of the ice are our clients and partners. They regularly put on their hats and gloves to cheer on the skaters in person during NKs, and European and World Championships. Together, we have already witnessed the winning of several records and gold medals. And if we are sure that there will be many more in the future.
